Project Dissemination Conference, Yerevan, Armenia, September 13, 2017

On the 13th of September, 2017, Dissemination conference on developing life-long learning in higher education system took place at Opera Suite Hotel. The event was held within the framework of “A Network for Developing Lifelong Learning in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine”- League Tempus Program. The organizer of the Conference was Russian-Armenian University, with the support of the Armenian consortium member-universities and Linnaeus University, Sweden.

During the conference various Armenian universities presented the results of the project and reforms that they undertook, discussed existing problems and their solutions, as well as the special role of this kind of education in secondary and higher educational systems.

Mr. Jan Aidemark, Coordinator of the project from Linnaeus University mentioned, that “The LeAGUe project has been a great experience for the Linnaeus University, exploring the topic of Life Long Learning together with many highly competent partners. During the project many courses have been developed in very diverse areas, and the courses have made the concept of Life Long Learning tangible and practical for involved partners. Throughout the project a very strong and personal network has developed, which creates a sustainable and durable force for future development of cooperation within the region and between EU partners and the countries of Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine.”

Ms. Lena Muradyan, Coordinator of the project at Russian-Armenian University highlighted, that “LeAGUe Tempus project has played its significant role for establishing a business and academic network among consortium members, created a real working model between labor market needs and universities. The courses developed in the framework of the project had been driven by current market needs and necessity to promote lifelong learning culture in Armenia”.  

The program operates since 2014 and will be closing in the end of 2017. It was financed within the framework of EU Tempus Program.  The partners in Armenia are Russian-Armenian University, Armenian National Agrarian University, Gavar State University, Vanadzor State University after H. Tumanyan and Armenian League of Lifelong Learning.
